Judicial Authority
Judicial system of Moscow is an integral part of judicial system of the Russian Federation and includes Moscow city court, district courts, Arbitration court of Moscow, Ustavnyj court of Moscow, world judges, and also other judicial bodies founded according to the federal law.
Judicial authority bodies resolve legal disputes (lawsuits) between concrete persons and also consider cases about contest of legal instructions about conformity to rules of higher force (laws — to Constitution, sublegislative statutory acts — to laws, so-called compliance assessment). The basic judicial body which is carrying out the authorized control is Ustavnyj court of Moscow.
Powers, order of formation and activity of Ustavnyj court are defined by the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the Federal constitutional law «About Judicial System of the Russian Federation», federal laws, the Charter of Moscow and the law «About Ustavnyj Court of Moscow» .
Ustavnyj court carries out the activity on the basis of principles of legality, independence, collective nature, publicity, competitiveness and equality of the parties, using the Russian language in activity of Ustavnyj court — the state language of the Russian Federation with granting the participants of the process possibility to use their native language.
